Alvarez vs Plant LIVE updates, undercard results, TV information and more

Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant look to become just the sixth undisputed champion in the four-belt era in the early hours of Sunday morning in Las Vegas.

Alvarez currently holds the WBA, WBC and WBO super-middleweight titles whilst Plant has held the IBF belt since 2019.

After 12 rounds, or sooner, one of them will be crowned the first-ever undisputed 168lb champion in boxing history.

Plant represents a tough out for Canelo, who comes into the night having 21 wins in 21 fights but has only stepped in the ring once since February 2020.

Alvarez has fought three times in the last twelve months.

Their first face-off in September resulted in ugly scenes after punches were thrown and Plant was cut under his eye which resulted in them being kept apart at Thursday’s presser and after Friday’s weigh-in.

Alvarez has said there is genuine animosity between him and Plant as he promises to show the American “something he’s never seen before.”
